Saberloop ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Summary

Your quiz data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal quiz information to our servers.

Data Storage

Saberloop stores data locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB. This includes:

• Quiz history and scores
• App settings and preferences
• Your OpenRouter API key (if you choose to provide one)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly connect to an AI provider.

Website Analytics

Our landing page (saberloop.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve the user experience. Google Analytics may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent
• General geographic region (country/city level)
• Device type and browser
• Referral source (how you found us)

This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using browser extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out.

Note: The Saberloop app itself does not include analytics tracking. Analytics only apply to the landing page website.

Advertising

Saberloop displays advertisements through Google AdSense to help support the free service. These ads may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Show relevant advertisements based on your interests
• Limit the number of times you see an ad
• Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns

Google and its partners may collect and use data for ad personalization. This includes:

• Cookies stored on your device
• Device identifiers
• Your browsing activity across websites that use Google advertising

Your choices:

• When you first visit, you'll see a consent banner where you can accept or manage your ad preferences
• You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings
• You can opt out of third-party cookies at aboutads.info

AI Provider Connection

When you generate quiz questions, the app connects to OpenRouter (a third-party AI API provider). In this case:

• Your quiz topic and preferences are sent to generate questions
• Your API key is sent for authentication
• No personal identifying information is sent

OpenRouter has its own privacy policy governing how they handle requests.

In the future, we may integrate additional AI providers. If these providers require different information, we will update this policy accordingly and notify users in advance.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, etc.)
• Device identifiers that can identify you personally
• Location data (beyond general region from analytics)
• Your quiz content or answers

Data Deletion

Since quiz data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

• Clearing your browser's site data for saberloop.com
• Uninstalling the app (if installed as PWA)

Children's Privacy

Saberloop does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app can be used by users of all ages as no personal data is collected from the app itself.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be communicated in advance through the app or our website, and will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
